Outreach Services
Provides community services to the North Rocky View Communities
Rural Development Services
The Community Outreach Worker supports individuals and families within their own communities of North Rocky View M.D., by working together to address needs and goals. This could include assistance with basic needs, building and advocating for individual and community supports, and early intervention/prevention programming for families.
Seniors Services (ASOP)
The Airdrie Senior Outreach worker is responsible for assessing and supporting seniors living in the City of Airdrie. This worker will help individuals and their families to problem solve, advocate on behalf of the seniors, access supports and services and refer them to various resources available within the community. This worker will help identify gaps in services for seniors and aid in the implementation of new programs for the community. The Airdrie Senior Outreach Worker is available to meet with seniors at Community Links and the Over 50 Club.
Respite Services
The Respite Program provides short term child care to parents/caregivers, living in Airdrie, Crossfield, Beiseker, Irricana and surrounding North Rocky View MD. This program is for families with children 0–12 who are experiencing a stressful situation or who are facing isolation and barriers such as a lack of support, depression, post partum and family crisis.
Prevention of Family Violence Services
The Family Violence Prevention Counsellor will provide support to residents of North Rocky View. This counsellor will provide in-office or in-home to children and adults, depending on their needs and safety issues. The counsellor will connect children, youth, and adults to services that support individuals or families who are living with family violence. The development and implementation of programs, workshops and activities in partnership with others will increase awareness and education to reduce and prevent family violence within the communities; strengthen networks of leaders of all ages (community members, professionals, volunteers) within communities to address incidence of family violence.
